Fable 3: What I dislike about it
WARNING. SUPER LONG RANT.
I can't get the English accent out of my head. Even now as i'm typing this I am actually thinking it in an English accent. It's all Fable's fault. And Tobuscus' LP.
Anyway what I really wanted to blog about is Fable 3. Just finished it yesterday, and I must say, the storyline is much better. I mean, at least you're not inexplicably trapped in some prison for 10 years AND HAVE YOU DOG KILLED. Now its clear what you have to do, which is to take over Albion and rule as Queen (or King).
A few things that I don't like about Fable 3 though is that
1. The menu screen is now a new 'area'.
Sure it looks fancy and pretty but not easy as I have to walk everywhere to get to my stuff. Different rooms are the weaponry, clothes, achievements and co-op. Though I must say, the display stuff is nice.
2. You can't view your items.
You see them only when you need them, like in combat food appears on the D-pad. Or if you have the item for relationship quests, you can immediately give the gift. The only way you can see what you have is at the pawnshop. Unless you have super memory. Then good for you.
3. The shops.
The display thing is nice in the sanctuary, but in shops and stalls, not so much. I mean there is like one item per stall. PER STALL. And the shops contain more items, but like 5 or 6 only. And there is no buy all button. WHY IS THERE NO BUY ALL BUTTON. I have to keep pressing repeatedly to get all the stock.
4. No health bar
That's right, a fighting game with no health bar. Or any kind of measurement to find out if you need to eat. Your D-pad glows red when you need health. When it does glow I start freaking out like 'OMG HEALTH I'M GONNA DIE I DON'T WANNA GET SCARRED' and frantically press the D-pad for health.
Oh and the part that really annoyed me and cost me to lose my all good streak is the 6.5MILLION DOLLARS that is needed for the second part of the game. I had no idea that the progress of the days would be stopped if you don't follow the main quest which would allow you to earn money through taking over property. I shoulda read spoilers about the money part...
Still, after a quick search on the internets and about 10 hours of leaving the xbox on to accumulate money from rent and profit from shops, 14 million was acquired.
Okay end of rant. For now.

TRON
You know what movie you shouldn't watch? TRON (And by watch I mean pay extra for weekend pricing). Unless you're into the whole, CG, good effects, shiny kinda thing. I mean it looks really cool. And it is. A 'treat for your eyeballs' as some critiques may put it. However the plot is totally lacking in oomph.
Until now (even after reading wiki's plot summary) I'm still confused about some stuff in the movie. And disappointed by the lack of character development. Like where did Tron come from, who is Alan and how does Quorra know that weird guy that keeps reminding me of Johnny Depp that betrayed them in the end and tried to negotiate but failed and then got blown up by Clu.
Hey if I didn't get it the first time, it wasn't clear enough.
I've gotta say though, the effects were really pretty, and probably would be better in 3D. And the technology such as the light cycles are kinda cool. Like how it appears from thin air when they break the stick. And it stars Olivia Wilde from House (I would watch the film just for her and I kinda did).
All in all, watch for the special effects, not for the plot, and I would put a spoiler warning in the beginning except THERE IS NO SPOILER.
On a side note, Happy New Year!
I pet a cat today that was at the playground. It meowed at me with big cat eyes AWWWWW. I want a cat like that.

OFF AGAIN
GOING TO HONG KONG TML OMG.
First leisure trip with friends overseas, I'm so excited! Gonna take lotsa photos and videos.
Anyway the States was kinda okay. The weather was nice, and people are friendly. And also their food is awesomely hugely proportioned. You know you have a good meal when your food is as big as your head.
Turkey leg that my brother bought in Disneyland. He's holding it so you can see it extends further than his hand. And when people walked past, they were like 'omg thats huge'.
I'll post about the States and Hong Kong when I get back~

AWAY
Off to the States! I have no idea where I'm going though. All I know is that I'm definitely going to Vegas cause my family wants to gamble.
Honestly I would rather stay in Singapore but my mum kept saying how its a 'family' trip. Pssshh.
So I shall draw and knit Rachel's long overdue scarf and take photos and maybe videos cause I bet I'll be really bored cause they want to spend like 5-6 days in Vegas leaving me, the underage, not able to gamble girl, alone. Not like I'd want to gamble but I can't even stay there and watch them gamble. (If I do make a video I'll post it here or something)
So AWAY, AWAY I GO. And I'll be back sometime before the 18th, cause that's when my mum has her garage sale going on and she doesn't want to miss it.
I'll See everyone sometime in the future ):

Chibi the hamster
Chibi passed away today. Or rather yesterday on the 1st.
I didn't really know how it happened but when I came home it was stiff, and not moving. I was hoping it was hibernating but its body was really stiff so I guess not.
Of course I was sad but decided to bury Chibi and move on. But I came home today after everything and instinctively moved to Chibi's cage, which is now empty.
I realized that I would no longer hear the noises it makes when it's running on the wheel late at night or gnawing on the cage bars.
I would no longer hear it scamper around when it hears the kitchen light go on.
Or carry it in my hands and see it all hyper and stuff.
I miss the noises and sounds and I miss it.
And to think the night before it passed away it was still running on the wheel and I even played with it and let it run on the piano. Why did it die so suddenly?

ITS OVAR
Shizuka can't change its expression, thus when it feels extreme joy its head explodes into confetti. Don't worry its head will just pop back. Don't ask me I don't know how it does that. It just does.'A' Levels are finally over~ For people taking my combi at least. Omg there so much things to do. Sweet, sweet freedom (for a few months). Off to celebrate with Rachel and Hanzi.
P.S. I CAN FINALLY DRAW YEEEEAAAAAH.
