Couples

Dear middle-aged Caucasian man and (what I perceive to be) some 18-20 year old girl (She was wearing shirt and shorts with short hair),

I'm sorry for judging you to be teacher and student at first. I don't really stare at people's faces when I'm studying (the girl/woman should be older I HOPE).
But then I realized that she was leaning on his shoulder and I though, okay they're definitely not teacher and student.

Couples leaning on each others shoulders are normal right? That's what I thought at least.

And then you started smooching.
That's fine I guess, I'll just ignore it.

But then it continued on.
Okay, getting more irritated cause you're in the open and to me you guys look like some weird old man young girl couple.

And on.
Ugh God, get a room, it feels awkward since I can see you two from my peripheral vision.

But the worst part was when you two started making exaggerated smooching noises. Like those you hear on MSN Winks or Sounds.

The worser part was when it got louder. There was no way of ignoring it. I couldn't bear to see what was actually happening, and hoped that you two were just making noises. Weird, disgusting smoochy noises. ( Seriously, who does that in public)

Me and my friend exchanged amused and annoyed and disgusted looks (sorry!).

All in all, I hope that I never see (or hear) another couple do that again, and I swear I will never, ever, repeat your actions. Please be more considerate, and not let people see that type of affection. Because its awkward. And weird. Do it in your own private space (and not bother hardworking *cough* people like me).

Thank you.

Sincerely,
Girl who was studying at the table next to yours
